Mary was chosen to be the Mother of God because she had courage and a deep love and trust for the Lord.

Mary is known by a multitude of different names: Mary, Mother of God, Madonna, Our Lady, Virgin Mary, Saint Mary, Mother Mary,

People pray to Mary, reverence her and look to her for guidance in their lives.

At the foot of the cross, by Jesus’ invitation, she became the Mother of all His disciples.
