St Joseph

Saint Joseph is well known as the patron saint of fathers, both families, workers, especially carpenters, expectant mothers, and unborn children.

He is faithful to God, keeps his promises to Mary and diligently protects Jesus. He is a man of his word and always follows through for the people he loves.

What did Saint Joseph do for Jesus?

In Catholic teachings, he models faithful fatherhood. Joseph provided for his family as a carpenter and followed God's instructions to care for them. He named and circumcised his son, presented him at the Temple in Jerusalem, and took him to the Temple on holy days when possible, all in line with Jewish law.

Saint Joseph's Day, also called the Feast of Saint Joseph or the Solemnity of Saint Joseph is celebrated on 19th March.
