Year One Support the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. - posted 8th Mar
On Thursday 8th March Year One travelled on the tube to Kings Cross Academy to participate in a concert with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. The orchestra played ‘The Fairy Queen’ by Henry Purcell which was brought to life through a story told by actors. Year 1 sang all the songs that they had been learning in music lessons and loved joining in with the interactive show. A great day was had by all.
Year Four Liturgy - Community - posted 7th Feb
The Year 4s taught us about the importance of living together in a community in their recent Liturgy. They looked at the different people who are part of the school, church and wider community. With aplomb, they sang 'Make me a channel of your peace' and 'When I needed a neighbour'. We were all invited to reflect on how lucky we are to have the support from so many different people around us.

Great Fun was had by all throughout the day! From Nursery to Year Six, children carried out a variety of investigations with numbers. These included working out the ratio of red Smarties in a packet to looking at patterns based on the Fibonacci sequence.
Science in Year Four - Chocolate melting - posted 2nd Feb
For our science topic, the year 4 children used the warmth of their hands to test whether or not chocolate could change state from solid to liquid. The results were tasty but messy. We then checked to see if the change was reversible - and yes the chocolate did return to a solid.
